WHAT IS MOMO???

When I told my sisters that I had the cancer we all kept having a hard time saying the actual word. So we decided to name it to make it easier on ourselves. My sister came up with the name MADGE after hearing me read my pathology report and so I made myself a MOTTO to keep MOTIVATED (my version of Live Strong - haha):

(GET) MADGE OUT, MOVE ON

Hence, MOMO was born! When anyone gets sad we just say, "MOMO" and we laugh! So if you ever want to encourage me if I happen to have a down moment, just say, "MOMO!!" and you will see a smile again! :-)
IT IS IMPORTANT TO ME THAT YOU ALL KNOW THAT I KNOW WITHOUT A DOUBT I AM GOING TO BE FINE IN THE END. THAT IS WHAT KEEPS ME POSITIVE. THE ROAD MIGHT BE ROUGH BUT YOU ALL KNOW I HAVE BEEN THROUGH WORSE - A LITTLE SICKNESS WON'T GET ME DOWN!!!! :-)

Hey Sister Brandy!

I found some scripture and I thought of you. Just remember to let the word of God be your strength in your times of weakness.

2 Corinthians 12:8-9
8 For this thing I besought the Lord thrice, that it might depart from me.
9 And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.

Our physical bodies fall apart, some sooner than others, for no apparent reason. Our first reaction is to ask God to take away our suffering, but as Paul is our pattern, we see his testimony in his physical infirmity. Three times he asked God to take it away, but Christ's answer was not negative, but rather positive. The Lord said that his strength is made complete in our weakness. When we are weak and unable to manage on our own in our daily functions, this is when we will become discouraged. At this time if we rely on Christ, we receive strength through the daily intake of his word to continue to fight and move forward. Paul didn't quit the ministry because of his ailments, but rather he gloried in them, knowing that it was the power of Christ and the word of God that motivated him to continue to minister to others. Whether your weakness is physical, or emotional, remember that not only do you have prayer to give you strength but you have the word of God, "which effectually works in you that believe."

Love ya B!
